About us

Murphy Machin is a private gallery in Central London promoting modern and contemporary British, European and African art.

Elizabeth Murphy is a painting graduate from the Royal College of Art.  She has worked for Sotheby’s and for the New Art Centre Sculpture Park and Gallery, Roche Court.

Julian Machin has worked as a gallerist and curator since 1987, collaborating with museums such as the National Portrait Gallery, the Fitzwilliam Museum, and Falmouth Art Gallery. Since 1984 he has been a regular contributor to The Times.
